About Me
My Background
Welcome to my site. I studied art for 2 years at university before changing my major. In recent years I've been working in watercolor and continue my love of photography. I'm currently exhibiting in some shows in Norfolk, Kilmarnock, Mathews and Chesapeake, VA. I am a member of the Virginia Watercolor Society, Southside Artist Association , Chesapeake Bay Watercolorists and the Rappahannock Art League.
Jack Pine Stables Fund Raiser
In 2020, I began painting small watercolors of nature scenes and printing note cards as a fund raiser for a special place in Akeley, MN. My cousin Kris Oppegaard founded Jack Pine Stables more than 20 years ago. Note cards are currently for sale . ALL PROCEEDS go to Jack Pine Stables and we've raised more than $2700. Thank you for supporting this vital outreach to those with special needs and Wounded Warriors. Note: most cards are available for sale but a few are out of stock. See the Shop page.
My Inspiration
I enjoy observing and painting people, nature and wildlife. I plan to do more studies of the Revolutionary War era.
